Hi All,
I've reached a point with a few cards where some of them are just not selling, and others have reached a point where they feel overly high for me to keep in my personal collection. It'd be my preference to have them still in the country, but at the same time I can't hold onto them forever. I've listed then on NZ MTG Marketplace, but I also want to offer them at a discount for my subscribers. So here's the list.
Forcefield HP $420
2x Wheel of Fortune 1 MP $480, 1 SP $530
Black Vise Beta MP+ $160
Hypnotic Specter Alpha HP $410
Sengir Vampire Alpha HP $270
Allosarus Shepherd $90
Cavern of Souls Zen Rising Expedition nonfoil $60
Bayou NM Front, HP Back $720
Badlands LP $650
Gaea's Cradle LP+ $1000
Mirror Universe Italian Legends MP $250
3x Tinybones Trinket Theif NM $30 each
1x Tolarian Academy HP $100
4x Sword of Fire and Ice Darksteel MP $35 Each
Hazezon Tamar HP $135
Everyone, it seems, has a breaking point somewhere when it comes to Reserved list cards. Where they take one look and say, nope, that's too much, I love Legacy, but damn.... I feel I'm closer to that point than I have been previously.
To put it in perspective, let's look at Dual Lands. For the most part, I buy them at 1:1 Card Kingdom, and sell them at converted (currently about x1.4). Often they take a few months to move, and when I do move them it's often in trade. They are popular, everyone wants them, but they are also incredibly expensive.
In August last year I bought a NM Volcanic Island for $650. At the beginning of December last year I bought a NM one for $700. If I'm to buy one now, at the end of January, it'd cost me $1100. I'm not sure I want to be a part of this anymore. $6000NZD for a playset of Volcanic Islands, from the cheapest set feels like too much to me. I love Legacy, but man, $6000 right now just sounds a lot better as cash. Another quick example. I sold a Trop 15 days ago, and the price was converted then. Now the price I sold it for is Card Kingdom 1:1
I'm sure there are some of you that disagree. That still want to buy in, even at these prices. For those of you, I have some cards listed at these prices that I'm ready to start moving on. It's not a ton, but if you see something you like, let me know.
I hope you are all doing well this week, and hopefully enjoying Kaldheim,
- Rose Willis
