Not sure what to talk about this week, will see if I can dig something up. I'll be honest, I've been doing a bit too much procrastination this week and have instead managed to play a lot of Persona 5 Royal. But my thoughts on this game is probably not what you are here for :P.
Time Spiral Remastered definitely seems to be the big topic of conversation still. Saffron Olive did an expected value breakdown on Time Spiral Remastered this week ( https://www.mtggoldfish.com/articles/the-expected-value-of-time-spiral-remastered ). The old boarded foils are going to be very pricy. The chance of opening a specific old-boarded foil is about 1 in every 91 boxes. By US store buy prices, this means a store like starcity games needs to open $10,000USD worth of boxes, just to get one of each card. These foils are going to be as expensive as masterpieces at least.
Reminder that I am offering a 20% bonus on all time spiral remastered singles you sell or trade in from this Friday (19th) through to midnight on the 28th. These include the old-boarded foils (though given our prices come from TCG Mid, we may need to look at prices closer to what the big 3 are selling them at).
On the other hand, regular old-boarded cards are likely to drop the prices of the rest of Time Spiral Remastered. The expected value is significantly higher than what a box costs right now, and that can't last.
Strixhaven is of course after that, and at this stage I expect we will be doing the 20% bonus for the first week+ of that set too. It's about a month old news at this point, but the commands for Strixhaven have been spoiled. Mostly the new guild-type-things look fairly easy to say, except the UG one.
