I am feeling better! Finally! Been able to get back into work. Been mostly playing EDH/Commander (which I missed a lot) and working towards having everything sorted for Dunedin this weekend. I've had a bunch of people come to me already, but if anyone else wants to make an order to pick up in person, or to ask me to bring down cards for them with me and to sort out a trade in person, now is the time to do so. I'm really excited for the whole trip.
For those of you far enough away that you have no idea what I'm talking about, or those closer to the source who are just out of the loop. Every 3 months, Megazone in Dunedin holds a Modern and Legacy weekend. I'm in town for the draft on Friday, but for the most part it contains the following 3 events.
Modern Saturday 1pm top heavy prizes, decklists required.
After that on the Saturday Megazone opens it's bar, and we all get drunk while playing EDH/Commander
Legacy Sunday 1pm, after we have all rested up from our hangovers. Decklists not required.
It's always a great time, and if it sounds like your sort of thing, I recommend putting in the effort to make it.
The D&D set Adventures in the Forgotten Realms came out while I was sick, and I'm not really sure what to say on it. Those who are into D&D have all given me super positive responses (except for The Tarrasque), but on my own end I've played D&D once for 3 hours (though I have played other pen and paper roleplaying games). So I don't get any of the references and as such the set doesn't at all appeal to me.
Anyways, that's all I have today. For those of you looking for cards for Dunedin if it's something not on the site I may have it already sitting around with the cards I plan to take down, or I may be able to source it for you (albeit at a higher price), so it's always worth asking :)
I can guarantee you at this point that I will be too exhausted from Dunedin to have a post for you next week, will see you all the week following.
