So firstly, this is the last update for this year. This Saturday I'm at the Card Market in Auckland, and then I'm away to spend christmas with my parents on the 9th, leaving you in David's more than capable hands until I return sometime mid-January.
Black Friday sale, I promised I wouldn't do one, but there's one today ending at midnight for 15% off the Over $40 collection. I didn't want to run this, but I realised that a bit of extra cash *cough cough, selling a dual land, cough cough* for this weekend would go a long way, right now, leaving me running this sale regardless of my feelings.
I'm a little over sales, and I'm going to look into different options when money is tight, I'm not sure what that will be just yet, but the problem with running lots of sales is that a lot of customers end up only purchasing cards during the sale, leaving only our most loyal customers purchasing cards at other times. Of course, if most of our customers are only buying cards during sales, this creates a self-fulfilling prophecy of sorts. If fewer people are buying cards from us when not on sale, we end up needing money because we are short, run a sale, and then run into money issues because fewer people are purchasing because no sale.
In the end, it doesn't actually solve our money issues and therefore needs to slow down significantly, if not stop all together (we will be running a birthday and black friday sale each year, though)
