Hi all,
I hope you are all having a good week, we got some interesting news with an upcoming B&R announcement along with a secret lair drop. Uro, Nature's Wrath is being banned in Historic, Pioneer, and Modern. I'm hoping for some other bans too. The whole cascade into Valki on turn 2-3 and decide to cast the Tibalt half for free is a bit silly, and really needs to be addressed. And then maybe something about these Tibalt's Trickery into Ugin decks in Standard? It's not that these decks are good, and in fact can be dealt with via minimal interaction. It's just that the matchups are boring either way. They hit Ugin and you lose, or the miss/get interacted with and do nothing while you roll them over.
I'm hoping Oko goes in Legacy. It might not need to go, there might be an interesting meta going on that includes it. I'm definitely a grumpy old woman complaining while playing a grumpy old MUD deck, but I'm also enjoying Legacy about as much (maybe a little less) than when Mental Misstep was legal. In case you weren't around then, the format was miserable. Stoneblade, Maverick, Dredge. Pick one of these 3 decks, everything else is stone unplayable.
Anyways, hopefully we'll get an announcement on that later today and see how things turn out :).
One other thing I wanted to mention, is that sometime, probably in 3 months or so I'm going to close down and not ship any cards for a full week. I'm going to take David and those who are our backup backup workers away on a holiday for a week. Wanted to give plenty of notice, it's not something that I really have any details on yet. It'll only be a week, we'll still take orders during that time, we just won't ship anything during that time. So still ages away :).
