Hi All,
Sometimes I wonder why I insist on writing these blogs on Sunday even when I know in advance Sunday will not be a good day to do so. Last Sunday I had a headache from overworking, and today I'm just very hungover XD.
I'm very appreciative of Magic's Pro Tour coverage right now, as I try to find coverage of a friend of mine currently playing in the 64 person worlds tournament for the Universus card game. I know he's seeded 16th at the end of day 1, but I'm not even sure if the event is single format or multi-format as the one place I can find tells me 2 conflicting pieces of information, and another mutual friend of ours had no idea how many people were even qualified for the event.
But not to rant too far down that rabbit hole, on our end with our store, we are behind on work. This is actually a good feeling, much better than the one where we have no work to do. The pile(s) of cards to grade, price, sort and add to the store are increasingly getting bigger, so we should be adding new cards to the store with some regularity.
I found the Aetherdrift Prerelease pretty fun, and I hope you all had a good time too. Our initial wave of Aetherdrift cards are in the store now.
Lastly we've been having a huge issue with our backend that I believe is solved now, so much so that I now feel comfortable sharing what it was. From about Jan 1st to a few days ago our store prices updated at a rate of about once every 3 weeks. To put in perspective how bad that was, to try and keep up with the changes in the secondary market our prices are meant to update once every 12 hours.
So yeah, big problem. Looks like the issue was with Shopify changing how the deal with API's, and I'm glad the problem is now solved, and I understand how difficult and stressful it can be to have something not working while multiple people are yelling at you about how it's still not working so I feel for the BinderPos staff during this time.
Have a great week and with any luck I'll see you in 2.
