So those of you who just read these and don't pay attention to the Facebook posts or my occasional email won't have known that there as been an impromptu sale since Wednesday. Other than that I've been told I need to force rest my foot, so I've been mostly playing Ys 9 with very little else going on. Probably a 40-45 Hour playthrough, started Wednesday, might finish it before this goes live in 6 hours.
Kamigawa spoilers start this week, are you guys as excited as I am? I might be a little more excited, but that's because the last 3 sets have been very much not my jam. I don't play D&D (I tried, but I enjoyed the social more than the roleplay, and for social magic is just a much more enjoyable time for me), and Zombies/Vampires/Horror are something I steer clear from in basically everything. The original Innistrad was good though, as I like the classic gothic horror stuff a lot more than current vampires/zombies/horror.
I think I've mentioned that I have (significantly less often now) anxiety and panic attacks before, but to give slightly more detail, I don't get social anxiety, my anxiety is a lot more around horror/gore/blood etc... Basically my mind imagines what it's like being in that situation and gives me a full dose of the fear or pain that person is probably feeling. And then that fear amplifies how I'm feeling to a stage a lot worse than the character is probably feeling. A drawback that comes with the upside of a lot of empathy.
While I'm thinking about anxiety I do have a question. I find making a phone call difficult. Once the other person has picked up, no worries, but until that person picks up I find it a challenge. Having talked to other people my age (late 20's-late 30's) it seems more common than just me, and I suspect it might be due to growing up with the internet, emails, txt, online chat etc... But I'm interested in your thoughts. You can post comments on blog if you have an account, so please share yours, I'd love to know what you think.
