So... Invercargill was a pretty fantastic trip. Super duper busy, but that means we have a ton of cards we are slowly working our way through. In addition to all the usual work, we also picked up a $30K collection. One which I've been unable to find the words for just how gorgeous it is to look through, but everyone who has so far agrees that it's worth the time going through and was worth the cost to buy.
I've been grading and adding lots of cards into the store this week. If you've been keeping up with the "Latest Restocks" you will have seen a ton of change on an almost daily basis. While a lot of the old school cards have been graded NM and PL, in truth the vast majority of them are in various states of very light play. And drawing the line between what is NM and what isn't has been proving very challenging. For the most part, any cards you order from this collection will be in stunning condition regardless of NM or PL <3 (of course there are the occasional exception that are actually PL like Preacher).
We've been working hard, but have barely scratched the surface of what we picked up, so keep checking back near daily to see more and more cards that enter the store.
I'm blown away by the beauty of these cards and it makes me happy every time I look through them.
I ended up playing in the event with this Piru List https://www.archidekt.com/decks/3135646#Budget_Piru
I did a lot better than I thought I'd do, mostly due to a rule that if a player combos off, they take 1st and the rest of the pod keeps playing. I had one particular game where my opponent had 15 extra combat steps with Moraug, killed the other 2 players with 4 of them, and couldn't kill me with the other 11 <3
Everyone was super friendly, the regulars, those we haven't seen in a while and those who were new since the last time we were down. It was an incredible weekend and I look forward to the next one!
I'll see you all next week,
