Hi All,
It's gotten to 1am Monday morning and I've just realized I haven't made this weeks post yet. I'm not really sure what to Talk about. I went over how great standard has become last week. I'm heading to the West Coast next week, so for 2 full weeks you'll be entirely in David's Hands. The week I get back, I've got a 1 day turn around and then I'll be in Wellington area for 5 days. And finally after I get back from that, the very next weekend is a Dunedin Modern and Legacy event (can't forget about EDH and drinks Saturday night). So it's a pretty busy next month.
Commander Legends had some cards spoiled this week. Mostly it's cards that are solid and fun, but not too broken which I'm happy with (though I'd be surprised if it continued at that pace).
After the mess that was Secret Lair the Walking Dead, the next secret lair looks better. It's $60USD for foil Collected Company, Teferi's Protection, Amulet of Vigor and Consecrated Sphinx. Apparently half the sales go to charity as well :).
One quote I have on the secret lair that I feel very strongly about comes from Saffron Olive "PSA: If you like the Walking Dead Secret Lair cards you shouldn't feel bad about it or feel like you have to qualify your excitement. You don't control how Wizards chooses to release cards. It's possible to like the cards and dislike how they are being released."
