Hi all,
This week I think we got the best Standard Bannings we've seen in a very long time. I'm really excited for how standard looks right now, with so many decks that look fair and balanced with BOTH good and bad matchups. :O. Ok a little bit of sarcasm there, mostly because what we have should be the normal and not a delightfully rare occasion. But it's good, and I'm looking forward to it. Would really love to hear what you are playing with in Standard right now. For those of you who haven't caught up the bannings. Omnath, Lucky Clover, and Escape to the Wilds have all been banned in Standard.
You guys have been doing a great job overloading us with your buylists. While we have finished grading and paying out on the buylists that have come in, we still have a fairly decent pile (about 1000 cards) that need to be added into our store and put away. Keep checking regularly as there is always new stock.
On a personal note, I applied to have my name formally changed to Rose Willis (from Michael Willis) this week. It's something I'm really excited to have finally done, and makes my transition seem that much more final and definite. I also have my first transgender vocal lessons Tuesday morning, something for which I am very excited for.
In the world of my family, my father has done an excellent job recovering from his stroke and is more or less back to normal :D. My parents should have their house sold for definite by the end of this week, and I will be spending time with them from the 2nd to 16th of November. A day back in Christchurch then up to Wellington on the 18th for the Jazz festival (and trading of course).
